Skills Base provides organizations with a choice of calculation method used in presenting information throughout the system. There are two methods available:
Click the links above for a detailed description of each method as well as when to use them and the effects they have on dashboards. The default method that is configured when you create a new Skills Base instance is the "Relevant Skills" calculation method.
Don't worry too much if you can't decide on calculation method as it can easily be changed at any time.
A balance between both methods
You can enjoy elements of both methods by selecting the "Relevant Skills" calculation method and disabling the zero rating in your Rating Scheme. This provides a good balance and has been the default method in Skills Base since day one. See The "Relevant Skills" calculation method for more information.
